Simbarashe Mukahanana, professionally known as ‘Virus’ was born on the 31st of January 1999. Virus is a Zimbabwean recording artist that is diverse and versatile in his art form. He sometimes switches from rap to r n b. Virus grew up in the city of kings well known as Bulawayo that’s why he is able to use three languages in his music which are Shona his mother language, Ndebele and English. Growing up, Virus was not exposed to a wide variety of music he mostly listened to Lil Wayne, Drake and Chris Brown because that’s what his friend’s brothers used to play whenever he visited them. Virus is inspired by the life he lives and his surroundings and that’s all he makes music about. He started writing his own music when he was 15 but started professional recording after finishing high school. Virus Is a Hip-hop artist whose music has been consistently improving ever since 2018 when he dropped his first single called Hustle. His music is always aimed at conveying important messages to society, by using his powerful vocals and colourful lyrics.
