Blessed S Nguloo better known as Mc Dropper started singing at the age of 5. He grew up listening to Westlife and Bob Marley mostly and after he was at the age of 6 his sister introduced him to the hip hop industry. His favourite artist became Lil Wayne (in an interview he said they had a similar background). He found interest in memorising Wayne's songs and he knew most of them by head. Besides rapping, Dropper has an amazing voice and he said he liked Chris Brown and Usher's songs. At this tender age, his parents were amazed by what their son could do and they said that they have always supported their son.
In forth grade, he managed to make his way into talent shows where he would get first or second places. He told the interviewers that singing was his life. In grade five, he made friends with three other guys who showed interest in singing but they needed help from him. He taught them how to sing and sometimes wrote song for them. As time passed, the introduction of zimdancehall muzic shifted his friends' (Lucii, Reflex and Yung Soja) attention and they switched genre.
There was tension on their friendship since they started throwing shots at each other and Dropper had to move out of the quad.
In grade seven Dropper transferred to a different school where he showed his talent both in class and music.
He stayed away from music as his parents wanted him to write his grade seven exams. He passed with flying colors and then in form one went to learn at Hermann Gmeiner.
He performed at every function he could get his hands on. This made him to have people pay attention to him.
In form two, his childhood friend Doctor Michael Dickson introduced him to Fungai Paradzai (Fun F) who was at Bindura University and was also a producer and song writer. He recorded his first track with Fun f called God which was in his ( Fun f) mixtape. Fun F liked what Dropper could do infront of the mic and he promised to be his mentor and help him get better. After Fun left for Harare to work at G Records, Tinovonga Chiguta(Slick Styles) introduced him (Dropper) to Whizzla who was also a guru in the hiphop sector in Bindura.
Whizzla liked what Dropper could do and took him in his crew called Masterpiece and monitored him. He made Dropper feature in some features. Every feature Dropper went on, he delivered differently and he showed that this is what he was made for.
He was then recognised as one of the best rappers in Bindura and when we asked him who do you fear when it comes to rapping he replied with a smirk and said, "the best rapper is only known to me. I only respect Fun, Slick, Whizzla, Famm 99 and Twee-P." He also said that music is like gambling because you dont know which side the dice will land on.
We asked him the following questions and these were his answers:
Qn1: Which local artist would you wanna do a collaboration with and why?
Ans: First, I would say J Nova. Because I really enjoy it when he rhymes. His lines are full of energy and he just knows what he does so i would like that magic on one or two of my songs.
Secondly, I would say Meyniak. Now this guy is just awesome and like Nova he has the power when it come to rapping. He writes deep and his rhymes are amazing.
And lastly, I would like to say that Amara Brown is good. She has that powerful voice and I admire that. I really want to sing with her.
Qn2: Which lady would you like to spend a day with and why?
Ans: mmmmhh I would say Dj Senya Ritah first. I like her personality and that zeal to see hiphop make it. So i would like to spend time with her maybe some of her determination would rub off on me lol.
Qn3: Which female artist would you ask out if you have the chance?
Ans: Thats tricky. Uuummm i would pick Amara lol. Hey im a simple guy, i see beauty i like and she is beautiful. By the way who doesnt have that Amara crush, even N Jay Oh did that Amara track lol ( he said so jokingly)
