KD da GR8's "baby steps" are greatness in itself.

This week, (Monday 15 July) we proudly  present "GR8NESS" (BABY STEPS)" ep by a young artist from Mutare. His name is  KD da Gr8.

Apparently, KD da Gr8, a multi-gifted  artist and student producer  under Summit Records in Mutare  has walked his first few steps as a baby in the music industry.  That is, to drop his first EP titled GR8NESS and subtitled  "Baby Steps".  Too humble is this one KD who doesn't fit into the city of Mutare. Let's talk about it on national levels, hello Zimbabwe! SADC! Africa! Earth & all the aliens out there, hear me out,   there's greatness down here in Zimbabwe!

Why SkynetYzia refuses to work with Zimhiphop (Part 1)

Powerful people in Zimhiphop are still scheming to keep our music off the local radio and shows just to prove to us how powerful they are. Like seriously? What nonsense is that? Are we now playing tag-of war or something? This is why Zimhiphop doesn't impress me. Its too full of hate and I'm hated cuz I DO NOT BEG them...I DO NOT WORSHIP them . Eheka, .In Zimbabwe, especially in BULAWAYO, being too able to do things on your own (without begging or incorporating  hiphop heads in your journey to success)  is more than a crime. Zvinovengesa shaa lol..They'l put a price on your head. As a matter of fact, we don't have proper leaders in the hiphop heads & promoters sections. We have  tiny but exceedingly greedy & fame-hungry  human-gods who just want to be worshiped & credited for the success of ever new players even when they haven't contributed anything.  These human-gods, or gate-keepers, come in the form of biased & corrupt Djs, media guys and powerful artists who have direct influence on the press. Unotonzwa maradio Dj achiti kumaartist itai mashout outs mumusic yenyu ndokuridzai . Truth be told, most artists in Byo get to talk to a particular radio Dj before their music is aired and panotobuda "yedrink".  That's a bribe, lets be honest. These guys are taking advantage of artists who are desperate for airplay.  Message to the artists on radio, don't come to me bragging about being on radio iwe uchingoridzwa naDj waunotamba naye. I have a million dollar question for some of yall, HOW COME YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHEN YOUR SONG IS GOING TO BE PLAYED  ON RADIO?  Asi maakuporofita kani?? Lets be real, some of yall faking this hustle and thats why the hiphop radio shows are terribly boring.

 I, Carnot, am one of the  multi-talented artists who are BLACKLISTED by these human-gods for not ass-kissing radio personals & big artists, for rather speaking out the truth  that exposes corrupt & biased players in the game, for exposing to the public, artists more talented and deserving airplay more than the artists these biased hiphop heads claim are the best in the industry.

The struggle is real....Its not fair a fight if you reason well, but I appreciate it cuz that's how the world is run...but I'd rather die on my feet than to live on my knees & ass-kissing these so called "hiphop-heads"....and so far I'm neither on my knees or on my feet, but on my horse and that's Skynet Yzia Empire. My survival proves beyond reasonable doubt that we're only growing bigger, stronger and proving indestructible despite their villains' united efforts.

This Lobengula based hiphop artist, not yet mainstream artist but much more than a upcomer (since he's come a long way doing it big), has dropped another ground shaking trap joint titled "I'M BLESSED".
Produced Izzy The Beatmaker and mastered by InNora, this trap joint maintains the streak of hits from Troy's "NO CHEAP TALK" brand, I mean, for real, this guy's chain of hits has no weak piece,its worth your data and downloading labor.

- The beat and mastering are on point so I'l deal with the vocals.
-I love criticizing a lot but on this track the singer did not give me the chance, so, fair enough, great work Troy
-Bars: Controversial as usual, Troy doesn't mind calling most of these rappers "fake". In this song he says,

"I'm keeping it real and these niggas is faking.....shit"
"I'm putting in work and these niggas is hating....shit"

and he explains the first line in these bars

I'm always in the booth like a studio mic//
You name your top five, Im on top of the five//
Most of you rappers live fantasy life//
Put your money where yo mouth is, No cheap talk//

Relevance consciousness is what makes "NO CHEAP TALK" a brand worth buying. The lyrics are always realistic, unlike most Zim rappers who brag about what they don't have and cannot afford. Troy rather focuses on relevance and realness than metaphors and he even states the same in this new song.

One problem with Zimhiphop artists is EGO. I've seen rappers who record a whack track, get some cheap Jordans on their feet and grab the mic once and start displaying heavy ego like the own the moment. Gosh, these niggas are so fake, they aint got bars and hide behind trap beats, 808 bass in particular. Its real talk when I say I'm just glad Troy shadowed them out of my playlist.

Generally, Mc Troy is gaining more value and becoming a huge brand in the music industry and stays humble and supportive to other artists, he showed me great support at my mixtape launch, (The Diary Of A Hustler.) .....gotta go now, Ey yoh Troy, stay blessed!!!
